So, I saw a lot of people doing this Lok shipping thing, so I decided to participate. I’m just gonna elaborate on some of the ships and my stance on them.

I pretty much ship canon, but I don’t mind other ships either. I find it weird that my OTPs are crack!ships, cuz I usually don’t care much for ‘em. Lin is essentially the reason I watch LoK; all the other characters don’t do much for me. And God, Bumi is a badass. Seriously, they belong together. He makes her smile; makes her feel loose and free. I totally love their dynamic.

I used to ship Linzin, but now I only ship it as past Linzin because it’s canon. Before the finale, I DESPERATELY wanted some sort of comforting towards Lin about her loss of bending from Tenzin, but we didn’t even see Lin till like the last five minutes. That pissed me off. But, I digress. So after we saw literally nothing Linzin-y at all, I stopped caring about it. I mean, Tenzin is cool and all, but the way he disregards Lin makes me furious. Like, I get that he’s married and I definitely DON’T want him to go cheating or anything, but they were friends before they fell in love. They grew up together, they worked together. Even if it’s strictly platonic, I wanted to see him caring about what happened to her and the sacrifice she made for HIS family. But noooo.

So, when Bumi made his appearance and it was made known that he was NOT Iroh II’s daddy (I was totally on the ship for Honumi, but I abandoned it), I went crazy for Linumi. GRHAHHAAHAH it’s perf and amazing. I SHIP IT.

Korra. I don’t even care who she ends up, honestly. I was hardcore Makorra, but towards the finale they just were pushing it so hard and it felt so damn forced. I just didn’t see his transition from liking Asami to loving Korra. I don’t hate on Mako, he’s not too bad, but given the timeframe for the show, it was just too much to squeeze in and poor Mako’s development got the brunt.

The only reason I don’t ship Borra is because I REALLY want Bolin to have a love interest that’s worth his affections. I like Korra, but she’s just…. meh. Bolin went out of his way repeatedly to be a total sweetheart to her, so I just really want some sexy awesome madly-in-love-with-him girl (Cough… Kirima… cough) to show up in season 2 and claim Bolin.

I really like Irosami. He’s awesome, she’s awesome. I didn’t like Asami when she was with Mako, but when she got a backbone and beat up her dad and was being a total bamf I was like “okay you cool girl you cool”. ‘Sides, they both are too beautiful to end up alone.

Bosami, meh. Pairing the spares, much? They don’t have much interest in each other, or really any chemistry. No offence, Bosami shippers.

Pemzin? Oh okay. Let me just take Lin Bei Fong, daughter of the most badass woman in the world, and have her be rejected by the love of her life for PEMA THE SOCCER MOM NON-BENDER!!!!1!!1 Grrrghrhgrh if Pema didn’t exist, there wouldn’t be half as much romantic drama in the show. It goes without saying that I hate Pema. But hell, she makes room for Linumi, so idgaf.

Tahnorra? Yeah, I see it. Not bad. They’ve definitely got ~tension~.

And oh crap how could I forget? JINOOCHY. Hrrrrngggg they are delicious. My other otp for the show. I don’t care if they have never met, IT IS LOVE.

IT IS CANON.

ACCEPT IT.

Hrmmm I’m only gonna tag this with the ships I speak positively about, so I don’t upset anyone by putting hate on their tags. God knows I’m sick of hate on my OTP (ahem… Tokka tag anyone?)
